Feevale University's innovation and entrepreneurship event gains momentum this year by announcing co-hosts and engaging with local initiatives and project

At an event for partners and the press on August 6th, Feevale University launched Novo Hamburgo Feevale Summit 2025, a free and established event that connects people, businesses, the community, and ecosystem stakeholders in a dynamic environment focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the strengthening of strategic networks. In 2025, it reaches its third edition, with the slogan "Inspiring Ideas. Building Futures," seeking to further expand its reach and relevance. Previously called the Feevale Summit, the event will be renamed the Novo Hamburgo Feevale Summit in 2025.

At the meeting held at Espaço Cosmos, at the Red building on Feevale's Campus II, the event's new visual identity was unveiled. The change reinforces Feevale's commitment, as a community university, to being even closer to local initiatives and projects. The goal is to ensure broad access to the innovative ecosystem, fostering connections in collaboration with its co-organizers: Sicredi Pioneira, Sebrae, Feevale Techpark, and Novo Hamburgo City Hall. In greeting those present, Feevale University's rector, José Paulo da Rosa, highlighted this year's redesign of the event to incorporate the identity of the innovation movement that has been spreading throughout the state. "Inspired by this wave, we aim to ensure that the city of Novo Hamburgo takes a center stage on the innovation map, with the support of the City Hall, Sebrae, and Sicredi Pioneira. At the Novo Hamburgo Feevale Summit, we will have several special guests, and with the expertise gained from previous editions and the strength of our network, we are convinced that this event will improve the position our city and the University in the innovation ecosystem of Rio Grande do Sul," he stated. In the opinion of Novo Hamburgo's mayor, Gustavo Finck, the partnership with Feevale has been fundamental in showcasing the city and its values, building the future together with vision, innovation, and responsibility. "From the beginning, we joined forces to do things differently, and today we speak of the future with a city that already has a new face. Our commitment is to economic, social, and human development, joining forces with the University, organizations, and the entire community. Many thanks to everyone, and especially to Feevale, for the partnership," he highlighted.

Co-organizers join forces for regional development

After the initial presentation, the University and co-organizers held a talk in which they briefly discussed what the public can expect from this edition of the Novo Hamburgo Feevale Summit. Manuela Bruxel, Director of Innovation at Feevale, emphasized the need for companies to strengthen their connections, and that the event will be an opportunity to do so. “The idea is to increasingly bring in needs such as GovTech, MEIs, conscious businesses, generating content and show the best we have in our communities,” she explained. Speaking on behalf of the city government, the Municipal Secretary of Economic Development, Innovation, and Tourism, Daiana de Leonço Monzon, presented one of the new features of this edition: tourist itineraries will be offered through Hamburgo Velho and Caminhos de Lomba Grande, which will provide cultural experiences for event participants. “Public policy is a government duty, but its construction is collective, and events like this give us many ideas and opportunities for development to improve the city,” she said.

Thiago Pandolfo, Innovation Leader at Sicredi Pioneira, emphasized that the cooperative will be involved in the curating content. “When we talk about our purpose of building better communities, it is no coincidence that we have been together since the first edition of this event. We will have a stage where we will present topics that will help people develop and grow. So, count on us,” he said.

Sebrae Customer Service Coordinator Carolina Strack Rostirolla spoke of her pride in joining another edition of the Novo Hamburgo Feevale Summit and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity. “We need to talk more about innovation and listen to entrepreneurs so that we can understand how we can contribute. In addition to supporting content curation, we will also support startups, which I believe are essential to be here, through the Startup Battle. It is the sum of our efforts that will enable us to increasingly develop our municipality, our territory, and our region," she added.

The 2025 edition will take place from September to October

Novo Hamburgo Feevale Summit 2025 will take place on September 30 and October 1 and 2, in various locations at the University and in Novo Hamburgo. The event will feature a series of activities, such as two stages with simultaneous panels and lectures: Conscious Business and 360º Connections. Registration is free at nhfs.feevale.br.

The first two editions had a total of 62 hours of programming, impacted around 5,400 participants, featured 370 companies, around 150 speakers, various cultural attractions, and challenges to encourage the transformation of ideas into businesses and the visibility of startups. They also promoted job placement, offering more than 3,000 job openings through the Employability Fair – Trame.

Employability Fair – Trame: companies from various sectors will be present at stands offering job opportunities and recruiting talent. In recent editions, more than 3,000 vacancies have been offered.

Be International: Feevale's partner universities share experiences and promote lectures in other languages, connecting participants with the international academic universe.

Startup Village: a dedicated space for startups from different ecosystems to present their business models, with the aim of generating visibility and strategic connections.

Business Roundtable: an exclusive networking opportunity between companies and startups, focused on solving real market challenges and generating partnerships.

Live podcast: throughout the event, podcasts will be broadcast and recorded with the participation of speakers, sponsors, and co-organizers, discussing relevant topics in the world of innovation.

Startup Battle: in partnership with the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae RS), this event promotes the presentation of pitches by startups, which will be evaluated and awarded.

Open Labs: Feevale University's labs will be open to visitors, allowing the community to get a close look at the structures and technologies available.

Open City: special tourist itineraries through Hamburgo Velho and Caminhos de Lomba Grande provide cultural experiences and highlight local heritage.

Gastronomic Village: entrepreneurs from the region will present various gastronomic options, promoting local flavors.
