The Official Launch of the CCBC Brazil Hub at CUE, which will support Brazilian companies to explore the Canadian market, takes place online on December 9
CUE – a partner of Feevale University –, together with the Chamber of Commerce Brazil Canada (CCBC), will host the Brazil HUB in the western half of Canada, an initiative that aims to expand and strengthen economic exchange between these two countries. The official launch of the hub takes place in an online event, on December 9th, starting at 17:00 (Brasília time). Members of the CCBC, the Consulate General of Brazil in Vancouver, government representatives, community partners (such as Edmonton Global and Invest Alberta) and, for Feevale, the Director of International and Institutional Relations, Paula Cundari, will participate of the event.
Canada already has a Brazil HUB, in the easternmost area of the country, in Montreal. Now, CUE will host the Brazil HUB in the west region. Housed at the CUE Innovation Hub (CIH), located at the Allan Wachowich Centre, the Brazil HUB will support Brazilian companies to explore the Canadian market, and to seek partnerships with government and industry, in order to establish their commercial operations in Alberta. The hub will also focus on creating work-integrated learning opportunities for CUE scholars, as well as collaborative applied research for its faculty.
About Feevale - CUE partnership
Feevale University and Concordia University of Edmonton have been partners since 2014, having a relevant collaboration in the exchange between academics, mainly for the scholarship programs of the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP), of the government of Canada. On a visit to Rio Grande do Sul this year, Manfred Krepsky Zeuch, vice-president of External and International Relations at the Canadian institution, and Cleber Prodanov, dean of Feevale, discussed possibilities for advances in academic cooperation and greater approximation in matters such as innovation, technology, extension, and culture. With Brazil HUB, the business area will be another opportunity with potential for cooperation, mainly involving the companies of Feevale Techpark.
