Master's research analyzes women's experiences of safety when traveling to university in three countries
Gisele Scheunemann, a graduate of the Architecture and Urban Planning course at Feevale University, is currently studying for a master's degree at the Technische Universität Dortmund in Germany. She is currently conducting research that analyzes women's experiences of safety when commuting to university. To do so, she is considering the contexts of Germany, Brazil and the Philippines. Feevale is the institution that represents the Brazilian case study, entitled Navigating Urban Space: perceptions and experiences of safety in mobility among female university students. To do so, students must answer a questionnaire using the following : link.
The idea, according to Gisele, is to explore how gender issues in mobility and security are being integrated into the discourse of urban and transport planning, as well as to understand institutional perspectives related to the security of female students.
