Event took place in Recife (PE) during the Brazilian Congress of Sports Management

Feevale University was once again represented at the Brazilian Congress of Sports Management (16th CBGE), held between November 19 and 21, in Recife (PE). On this occasion, the second edition of the Innovation and Technology Marathon in Sports Management (Inovathon) took place, won by the team integrated by the master's student in Cultural Processes and Manifestations, Nicolas Duprat. According to the academic, the problem presented at the event was to help in the sports policy of the city's municipal areas. "We created the Pernambuco Sports Route application, which shows the operation and places offering equipment for sports practice in public spaces," says Duprat, adding that the application also has gamification to encourage users to get to know the places, earning points for each place they check in.
Furthermore, Duprat presented papers alongside his advisor, Feevale professor Marcelo Curth. The advisor led the roundtable discussion on Sports Management in the Age of BETs: Innovation, Market, and New Business Models. Curth also coordinated the meeting of the Thematic Working Group (GTT) on Entrepreneurship and Business Modeling in Sports. Duprat also spoke at the GTT on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Sports Management. He presented an overview of papers on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion across the 15 editions of CBGE, analyzing over 900 papers.
