The only representative from the University to complete the program, Alanys Guterres, concluded the Aspire Leaders Program, aimed at training young global leaders
Alanys Guterres Santos, a student in the Portuguese Language and Literature program at Feevale University, completed the Aspire Leaders Program, an international leadership program founded by professors at Harvard Business School. She was the only representative from Feevale to complete the program in the 2025 edition, standing out among 6,175 finalists from a total of 36,050 applicants from around the world. The student has a scholarship of the “Professor of Tomorrow” program and Scientific Initiation by CNPq, in addition to serving as president of the Academic Directory of Feevale's Bachelor's Degree Programs.
The Aspire Leaders Program is completely free and aims to train young leaders from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The course is structured in two modules: the first addresses personal and professional development, including leadership, critical thinking, communication, problem solving, and emerging technologies; the second module offers masterclasses with Harvard professors and international experts on topics such as economics, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and global citizenship. In Brazil, the program has a partnership with Insper and the Grow Ambassadors initiative, which offers free English classes to participants.
As her final project, Alanys developed PREVIC – Climate Prevention and Surveillance Program, focused on preparation, mitigation, and response to natural disasters, inspired by the floods that affected Rio Grande do Sul in 2024. The proposal provides for multidisciplinary and community action, with an estimated budget of R$ 81 million, and was developed according to the SMART methodology, required for approval in the course. "Even without intermediate proficiency in English, I was able to complete the course with Grow's support. Now I am part of the global Alumni community, with access to mentoring, workshops, and possible investments for social impact projects," says Alanys, who interacted with colleagues from countries such as Finland, India, Peru, Chile, and the United States.
The certification was received in early August, after early delivery of the final project. The student is now awaiting the possibility of pilot implementation of the PREVIC project in the Vale do Sinos and Porto Alegre Metropolitan regions, focusing on preventive solutions for extreme weather events
