Institutions will cooperate in student and teacher mobility and in teaching and research projects

On October 5th, Feevale University and Universidad Catolica de Trujillo Benedicto XVI (UCT), from Peru, signed an international cooperation agreement. The objective of the partnership will be to promote collaboration between the two institutions in areas of mutual interest, especially Health and Communication, with a focus on student and teacher exchanges and the implementation of teaching and research projects. The ceremony took place at Campus II, in Novo Hamburgo, and it was attended by authorities from both universities.
Angelita Renck Gerhardt, the Pro-rector of Education, explains that the Universidad Católica de Trujillo is a very important institution in its region of operation, with a structure and purposes similar to those of Feevale. “Concerned with institutional development, the rectory of this new partner is already leaving Novo Hamburgo with four projects underway: teacher and student exchange, double degrees in undergraduate courses, research partnerships and a partnership for joint teacher training as well”, she details.

According to the rector of the Universidad Catolica de Trujillo, Luis Orlando Miranda Díaz, expectations with the partnership are very high. “With this cooperation, we intend, in addition to starting exchanges between students and professors, to receive support for training our employees and professionals, which surely depend on Feevale’s level of capacity, will help to develop our young university”, he stated. The following professors participated in the signing ceremony at Feevale: the Pro-rector of Education, Angelita Renck Gerhardt, and the director of International and Institutional Relations, Paula Cundari; and by UCT: the rector, Luis Orlando Miranda Díaz, the academic vice-rector Mariana Geraldine Silva Balarezo, the dean of the Faculty of Theology, Jorge Luis Castillo Lamadrid, the manager of Institutional development, Ricardo Exequiel Angulo Bazauri, and the director of Relations International, Sister Adélia Dannus. After the ceremony, the delegation went on a visit to the Campus II laboratories.
