The initiative aims to recommend tourist attractions that prioritize inclusion, promoting more welcoming experiences

The "Autistando pelo Mundo" project was created by Vitória Ariane Heydrich Machado Carvalho, a graduate of the Tourism program at Feevale University. The initiative arose from research conducted in 2021, during the preparation of her Final Course Project (TCC). The project's goal is to enable people with disabilities and those with autism spectrum disorder to access information about the accessibility of different places before visiting them. Through her blog, "Autistando pelo Mundo," Vitória, who is autistic, shares reviews of the places she visits during family trips. She describes her first impressions and analyzes the accessibility of tourist environments. The analyses consider aspects such as adapted physical structure, inclusive service by staff, respect for diversity, and the existence of public inclusion policies. Benefits such as assistance and discounts offered to people with disabilities and atypical families are also noted.

Among the destinations reviewed, important tourist attractions in Serra Gaúcha as well as experiences in Santa Catarina stand out. The blog has an Inclusive Experiences tab, a space reserved for reader reviews. Vitória states that the project has already received positive feedback. "People are being very helpful and welcoming. There are still few initiatives focused specifically on this niche, so I believe the blog meets a real need, she reiterates.The fact that I am autistic and a trained tourism professional lends more credibility and respect to the project," she adds.
