With a degree in Fashion from Feevale University, Rafaela Keunecke Igor, 22, will travel to San Diego, California (United States) to compete in the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival. This, which is the largest festival of fashion films, will take place on 29 and 30 July. The event is considered the "Cannes of Fashion", an allusion to the Festival of Cannes, one of the largest and most celebrated film festivals in the world.

 

Rafaela will run for the statuette with the fashion film of her brand, Young Lust, entitled Gotta do it my way. The video was made by her and her boyfriend and partner Augusto Gaelzer. The work received the seal of approval, along with three nominations: the best actress, best editing and best creative concept.

 

"The opportunity came when I developed a documentary called Creating Journal, which reported the details of my final paper. Thus, the documentary received the seal of approval by the director of the event and the invitation to create another video, to participate in La Jolla, "said Rafaela.

 

In addition to the awards, the two youngsters, who will be the only Brazilians in the event, will be present at the Red Carpet, which will be broadcast live in the United States, and at the After Party, attended by Hollywood stars. The designer Paula Vianna, also from Rio Grande do Sul, will dress Rafaela for the occasion.

 

Rafaela has always been connected to fashion. As a child, she was encouraged by her maternal grandmother, who inspired her to create clothing. "Both my boyfriend and I are happy. I am having a great opportunity in the field I chose. Certainly, part of this event is something that is worth a lot, and is rewarding our efforts, "said Rafaela.
