Event is annually held at universities in Finland, Denmark and Brazil
Feevale University is hosting, on May 16 to 18, the International Strategic Partnership Seminar 2016, an event that brings together institutions that are strategic partners in international cooperation. Besides Feevale, Häme University of Applied Sciences (Hamk), from Finland, and VIA University College, from Denmark.
The event happens annually, hosted in the country of one of the universities, and aims to share knowledge with local, regional and international impact, besides promoting the interchange among students and teachers. Last year the Seminar was held in Finland, when the partners showed the researches results performed in their universities about future tendencies and possibilities to produce eLearning courses together.
Besides representatives of the universities, three Finnish authorities are going to join the event: Markku Virri, Finland Ambassador to Brazil, Jarkko Wickström, coordinator of Education and Science in the Finnish Embassy in Brazil, and Geraldo Hertz, Finnish honorary Consul to Rio Grande do Sul.

The aim of the strategic partnership is to strengthen all the three universities Feevale University, VIA University College and Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK). For us this partnership is really important and that’s why it’s strategic. So we can say that it is totally in different level than other international partnership contracts. This is the way how our university can increase and promote it’s capability and level of international research and education. This partnership is also important to our staff members. Via this alliance they can deepen their competences and networks and over all develop the strategic capability of the whole organization.
