Feevale’s Techpark is the single Brazilian representative to attend the 18th Program on Korea's Experience of Science and Technology Parks to be held from May 15th to 26th in Daejeon, South Korea. Daniela Eckert, Feevale’s Techpark manager, will be the park representative in the program sponsored by Innopolis Foudation, which proposes an immersion into park management and innovative environments.

As to Daniela, there is high expectation whereas a unique opportunity to build relationships with other technology parks from 20 countries, being at different stages of consolidation. ‘The biggest outcome from this type of training is not only the whole experience that South Korea is willing to share about how innovation is worked in technological environments, but also to envision how other countries around the world are dealing with the issue’, she explains. Also known as STP Education Program, the training introduces a Korean style of management system for science and technology parks (STPs). Attendants will access the know-how on development, operation and management of STPs, through seminars, workshops, business simulations sessions, sightseeing tours and other activities.

‘For Feevale’s Techpark joining for the first time has been a great achievement, as we may disseminate globally our actions and at the same time strengthen links of cooperation with Innopolis Foundation  as well as with the participants. This international networking is valuable and will bring benefit since it is extended to businesses, and so opening opportunities for international cooperation’, details the Feevale’s Techpark manager. The 2017 Edition of the program received 70 submissions from all over the world with 20 participants being selected. 

 

Innopolis Foundation is a commercial professional institution of technology concerned about promoting the Korean law on promoting special areas of research and development. It works with marketing, international technology transfer and public research application.

Since 2008, the Program on Korea’s Experience of Science and Technology Parks has been training participants on STP technology and teaches managers to develop STPs. Around 331 participants from 68 countries have already graduated in the program and acquired the skills to create practical projects.

The training sessions counts with expertise that defines organizational goals and develops ideas by sharing the South Korean managers’ real experience with STPs establishments from around the world.
