Feevale Cultural Hall launched this year, to the four corners of the world, the call (DES) Fronteiras. The action is part of the activities program in allusion to the anniversary of the exhibition room, which is located on the fourth floor of Feevale Theater, Campus II of the University, in Novo Hamburgo. The exhibition resulting from the call (DES) Fronteiras opens on September, 25th celebrating the 5th anniversary of the exhibition hall.

The unprecedented project consisted of an open call between April and August, in which anyone interested could send, by mail, visual poetry with the theme that gives the name to the call. The form and dimensions of the works were free, which could be, for example, a visual poem, a letter-work, a postal poem, a concrete poetry work, or whatever else the author imagined. The accepted works of art were made with different kinds of techniques such as text, painting, drawing, collage, sewing, printing, photography, etc.

According to the coordinator of Feevale Cultural Hall, Professor Anderson Luiz de Souza, it was the first time the exhibition room promoted an action like this, and it was conceived as a way to integrate as many people as possible into the same exhibition. “Actually, there was no way to measure the size of accession. But it was a great surprise to have received more than 300 works from 30 countries, including Brazil, from a total of 81 cities," he celebrates. "With this international exhibition, Feevale Cultural Hall breaks the limits of its physical borders, showing that by matching  Art and Education we can shorten distances and build new possibilities for thinking the world," says Souza.
