A group of 16 members from Feevale University traveled to Colombia this month to participate in various academic activities. The group was composed by professor Marta Rosecler Bez, the students André Souza da Silva, Fabiane Barili, Fernando Rafael Stahnke and Sibele Lange, who are taking the Master's Degree in Creative Industry, Jonathan Pablo de Oliveira, student of Information Systems, and Jorge Arthur Schneider Aranda, of Computer Science. They represented the Institution at the International Conference of Adaptive and Accessible Virtual Learning Environment (Cava), held in Cartagena. During the event 13 articles were presented.

 

After the congress, the group traveled to Medellin where they gave two lectures on the same day. The first was at the Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano (ITM): Tecnologías en la salud: wearables devices y sus aplicaciones en el area de la salud, taught by Jonathan Pablo de Oliveira, a student of Information Systems, Jorge Arthur Schneider Aranda, a Computer Science student and Marta Rosecler Bez; the second was at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL) in Medellin: Tecnologías híbridas para la Educación, issued by André Souza da Silva, Fabiane Barili, Fernando Rafael Stahnke, Sibele Lange and Marta Rosecler Bez.

 

The next stop was in Manizales, where all scholars presented to students of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia - in Manizales, their research projects or final papers. Additionally, integration meetings took place among research groups. According to professor Marta, the balance of the trip was positive. "We have interchanged experiences and organized the exchange program for next semester, with two Colombian students coming to Brazil and two Brazilian students going to Colombia," she celebrated.
