Professor Regina Heidrich signs agreement with University of Évora, in Portugal, and integrates congress and research

Regina Heidrich, a professor of the graduate program in Cultural Diversity and Social Inclusion at Feevale University, participates in an intense agenda in Europe, in May. Next week, the researcher will be in charge of signing a cooperation agreement between Feevale and the University of Évora, which will enable exchanges of undergraduate and graduate studies. At the same institution, she will give a lecture about Sensebooks - multisensory books, a research project that develops books with a series of resources such as textures, sounds, contrasts, symbols, adapted fonts and Braille with the goal of being accessible to people with all kinds of abilities.

After that, the researcher will spend two days in Leiria, at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPL), where she will work on researches about inclusion of special needs people with her scholarship holder Maurício Hilgert and the team of Professor Célia Sousa at the Digital Inclusion Resource Center (CRID). "I will also work with my doctoral student and Feevale professor, Marshal Lauzer, at the Lusíada University and later at the University of Lisbon, with Professor Francisco Rebelo,"she explains.

In the second week, Regina will go to Athens, Greece, to attend the congress Atens Institute for Education and Research (Atiner). At the event, she will present a paper about the research Jogo Voltado para Educação Utilizando Realidade Virtual. The interdisciplinary project proposes, to students and teachers of Basic Education, a journey of history through virtual reality to the Júlio de Castilhos Museum, in Porto Alegre. The game was developed with the support of the Department of Economic Development, Science and Technology (SDECT) of Rio Grande do Sul and partnership of the company Napalm Studio. Professors Rodrigo Perla Martins, Alessandro Lima, Tiago Raguze and Eduardo Muller also worked on the research. Regina will be traveling from 11 to 25 May.
